Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) There is a problem in adhoc networks that performance can deteriorate when a relay node is shared by two or more traffic streams even when there is wireless bandwidth available.Where streams converge, a bottleneck can arise due to the fairness of the CSMA/CA media access mechanism. In this paper, we propose a method to improve network performance for VoIP streams by reducing the number of streams passing through bottlenecks and suppressing no-sound packets. Moreover, we show experimental results which demonstrate an increase in the number of VoIP sessions which can be allowed in a network.
