Some evaluation formulas for Wheeler method and corresponding systematic uncertainty

(in English) In this paper, we evaluate the systematic uncertainty of some evaluation formulas for Wheeler efficiency using the magnitude of the reflection coefficient or the input impedance or the input conductance in free space and radiation shielding, namely, Wheeler cap. The dimension of the Wheeler cap is selected to avoid dips in the Wheeler efficiency in the desired frequency band. However, the efficiency might fall a little near the antenna resonance, when using the evaluation formula with the magnitude of the reflection coefficient. We also evaluate the systematic uncertainty of our proposed evaluation formula to avoid the above slight dips. As sources of overall uncertainty of
the Wheeler efficiency, there are the magnitude of the reflection coefficient, input resistance and the input conductance of the antenna under test in free space and the Wheeler cap. By calculating their contribution of the overall uncertainty, we can find that the measurement of the antenna in the Wheeler cap dominates the overall uncertainty. In addition, we can also find that the uncertainty of the Wheeler efficiency slightly varies from formula to formula by comparing four evaluation formulas.
