In the mobile satellite communications in the personal use environment, it is preferable to clarify a variety of propagation characteristics to secure the satellite communication systems with high reliability. In the satellite communications such as quasi-zenith satellites which can maintain the high satellite elevation angle, the deep fading characteristic was reported on the radio frequency band (UHF band) even if in line-of-sight environments.
In this paper, We consider both of co-polarization and reverse-polarization receiving levels by the incident angle. We describe details of our examination and propagation model by the reflection and the diffraction due to building walls and edges on received power in mobile satellite communications systems, when the satellite is located near and behind the building. |
