Gathering Scheme of Sensor Information Balancing Load of Sensor Nodes Based on Volatile Connective Values in Wireless Sensor Networks

(in English) Wireless Sensor networks (WSNs) have attracted significant interests of many researchers because they have great potential as a means of monitoring and gathering information of various environments. WSNs have their wide range of applications, such as natural environmental monitoring and environmental control in office buildings. In WSNs, many sensor nodes with such resource limitation as battery capacity, memory, CPU are deployed in application areas and used to monitor and gather information of various environments. Therefore, scalable and efficient network control saving energy consumption of each node is necessary. Ant-based algorithms have attracted attentions as routing algorithms for energy consumption savings because they are more scalable, efficient, and robust than other conventional routing algorithms. In previous works, we proposed an Advanced Ant-based Routing algorithm (AAR), which is more scalable, efficient, and robust than conventional ant-based routing algorithms. This paper proposes a new routing protocol with the faculty for balancing load of each node, named the Pheromone-Oriented Routing Protocol (PORP), which is based on AAR. By using PORP, a sink node is autonomously selected in each sensor node. We evaluate PORP using computer simulations and verify its effectiveness.
