Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) Edge extraction in incident images is a primary function carried out in the vertebrate retina. Based on a biological model for edge extraction in the vertebrate retina, several silicon-based edge extracting circuits have been proposed and implemented. In this research, based on fundamental models for edge detection, we propose a novel single-electron circuit that can perform edge extraction. Through computer simulations, we demonstrate its performance.
