| (in English) | We report a 100-GHz-spacing 48-channel planar lightwave circuit (PLC) -type demultiplexer with a spectral modulation function for monitoring signal light wavelengths. The demultiplexer is composed of a Mach-Zehnder interferometer (MZI) and two arrayed-waveguide gratings (AWGs). Modulating the MZI spectrum allows us to modulate the spectrum of the whole device. Its centre wavelength can be shifted more than 100 Hz with a modulating signal applied to a thermo-optic (TO) heater on the MZI section. The 3-dB down bandwidth of the demultiplexer is 0.53nm, which is 63% of the channel spacing.. | |
