A study on realizing a cost-efficient health information database using DNS

Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) Japan is an aging society with fewer children now. At the fields of the medical and the welfare, a ubiquitous support environment will be needed to compensate a lack of care workers. However, the environment for the home nursing care or the small-scale nursing facility, which is expected to increase in the future, is not proposed. This paper proposes a cost-efficient simple health information management system. We aim to use the DNS server program in the system as a network database, in order to make it possible to use various existing terminals as the care terminals. In this paper, we show the method to acquire or register the health information, define the DNS record scheme to associate with the health information, then give a possible solution to keep a security.
