Computational Complexity Reduction for Allpass-based Image Coding

(in English) To obtain better coding performance in wavelet-based image compression,
it is necessary for wavelet filters to satisfy the orthogonality condition and linear phase characteristic. To satisfy these conditions, a class of IIR wavelet filters have been proposed by using allpass filters, and thus better coding performance have been obtained for lossy and lossless image coding. In this papar, we focus on the computational complexity required in the allpass-based image coding, and reduce it by replacing multipliers with shifters and/or adders. We use several atural images to examine its lossy and lossless coding performance, and then compare it with JPEG 2000.
