MIMO-OFDM Systems using High-Rate Full-Diversity Space-Frequency Codes
Tatsumi Konishi (Aichi Inst. of Tech.) RCS2007-72
Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) In case of wireless communiction systems with multiple propagation paths, the channel shows frequency selectivity,
resulting in intersymbol interference (ISI) that can cause serious performance degradation. Orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM)
is well-known one of the ISI mitigating approaches. Recently, in order to combine the MIMO systems and the OFDM, space-frequency (SF)
coded MIMO-OFDM systems have been proposed. Among them, the SF codes using diagonal cyclic space-time codes achive full rate
full diversity. In this paper, we propose to extend the SF codewords to achieve higher data rate employing Weyl group.
We show that the proposed codes outperforms the previously codes about coding rates, and they have good error probability in low bit-rate.
