Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) The bridge and arc discharge, which are generated at the breaking of electrical contact, cause temperature rise of electrodes.
The structure of the holder of the electrode influences to the temperature of the electrode.
In order to clarify heat phenomenon due to bridge and arc, the influence of holder structure on temperature rise of electrode is investigated in detail using finite-difference time-domain heat conduction equation method (FDTD-HCE) in this paper.
The structures of the slits and the gaps of the holder which fixes the electrodes have been changed.
It has been cleared that each temperature rise of the electrode and the holder can be separate by changing the length of the gap.
Lastly, it is suggested that the structure which easily transmit the heat of the electrode to the holder can be achieved by the larger diameter of the holder.
