A Probabilistic Algorithm for Computing the Minimal Stopping Set of LDPC Codes(II)

(in English) The performance of LDPC codes under iterative decoding algorithms over the binary erasure channel is estimated by small-size stopping sets (especially, minimum-size stopping sets).
However, it is very difficult to compute the minimum-size stopping sets, because the time complexity for finding the minimum-size stopping sets of long-length LDPC codes is very large.
We proposed a probabilistic method for computing the minimum-size stopping sets.
This method is based on the relation between stopping sets and codewords, and use the probabilistic algorithm for generating low-weight codewords to find small-size stopping sets.
In this paper, we evaluate the complexity and the probability to find the minimal stopping sets by our method.
And we show the optimal parameters to compute the minimum-size stopping sets.
Additionally, we compute the minimum-size stopping sets of LDPC code with length about 5000.
In this numerical experiment, we could find minimum-size stopping sets by our method with the optimal parameters.
