Oscillation Mechanism of 543nm-Er Upconversion Fiber Laser via 4I13/2 level

(in English) The oscillation mechanism of 543nm-upconversion fiber laser with Er3+ doped fluoride glass fiber pumped by a 974nm-LD is described. The primary target of laser output power was over than 10mW from singlemode fiber and CW oscillation with RMS noise less than 0.1%, but 3%-RMS noise was observed on prototype fiber laser. We measured the fluctuations of output power at 543nm and 850nm, and analyzed them with numerical calculation to investigate oscillation mechanism of Er3+ upconversion fiber laser.
