An adaptive howling canceller based on distance measurement

(in English) We usually use a loudspeaker and a microphone at the speech and the concert and so on.
When we use them, howling sometimes occurs.
Howling makes people unpleasant and often breaks sound machinery.
Hence, a howling canceller needs to be required.
We pay attention to the theory that the occurrance of howling depends on distance between a loudspeaker and a microphone.
In this paper, we propose a howling canceller based on distance measurement and evaluate its perfomance.
The experimental results show that the proposed howling canceller improves 9dB(A) of howling margin.
