Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) This study proposes a method to decompose a signal into a set of periodic signals for single channel speech separation. The proposed decomposition method imposes a penalty of sparsity to decompose a signal into a small number of periodic signals. To separate speech, a speech mixture is devided into frames. The sparse periodic decomposition is applied to each frame. The resultant periodic subsignals obtained by the decomposition are allocated to each speaker. In experiments, we decmonstrate that the proposed decomposition can represent speechframes with few periodic subsignals and is capable to separate the mixture into source speech signals.
