Due to a trend of miniaturization and diversification of electronic instruments and information facilities, the printed circuit board (PCB) is being made with finer structures, smaller through-holes, higher wiring density and more built-up layers. As the results, the vibration and shock being imposed to the PCB is becoming a critical reliability issue in electronic packaging and mounted parts.
In this study, the vibration pattern of PCB surface was measured in case where the vibration and shock were applied by operation of mounted electromagnetic relay on the PCB. The holographic technology was applied. And, a graphic image processing technique was also applied for the quantitative measurement of displacement and 3-D graphic patterns were represented from holographic fringe pattern due to vibration and shock imposed to the PCB. |
