本研究では，「脳は視覚情報に含まれるどのような信号を使って視覚運動関係の変化に適応しているのか」という問題意識に基づき，投擲運動を題材としたプリズム適応の行動実験を行なった．具体的には，投球してから的に当たるまでの球の視覚情報を遮断することにより，プリズム適応の大きさに変化が生じるかどうかを調べた．今回の実験結果では，投げた球の視覚情報がプリズム適応に明確な影響を与えることは確認できなかった． |

The authors ran a behavioral experiment on the prism adaptation in a throwing task, asking what information in the visual information is essential for the adaptation in visuomotor transformation. Specifically, we examined whether or not removal of visual information of the thrown ball affected the extent of prism adaptation. The amount of aftereffect was not apparently different between the case that the visual information was provided only after the ball impact and the case that it was provided from the ball-release to the ball impact. |
