Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) Competition of a communications carrier intensifies in recent years. It becomes more important to provide attractive service speedy in comparison with the other carrier. OSS is required to provide necessary function supporting new service just in time.
Legacy Client Server systems have a problem that they consume much time and cost to deliver new client applications. In order to solve this problem introducing Web solutions is effective. However Web solutions are inferior to Client Sever solution in operability and response-time. It is strongly requested that client solutions which can be delivered speedy and have high operability are introduced.
We adopted Rich Client solutions for the renewal of Service order support system for Leased line to overcome the problem of Client Server solutions and Web solutions. We describe in this paper the comparison between Client Server and Web and Rich Client solutions and the result of the practical use of Rich Client solutions.
