We have developed a high-speed measurement system for electromagnetic field distributions. The system uses a galvno scanner for high-speed laser scanning and an electro-optic or magneto-optic crystal substrate for field detection. We measured magnetic field distributions using a magnetic garnet thin film that showed a magneto-optic effect. Addressing the sensitivity enhancement at the gigahertz range, we applied a magnetic field bias to the magnetic garnet thin film during measurements. |
