Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) Cognitive radio system consists of multiple wireless access systems that cover overlapping area, and cognitive terminals that use one or more wireless access systems simultaneously to communicate with network. In this paper, the basic simulator for cognitive radio is introduced. In this simulator, both WiMAX and WLAN are used for inter-radio system switching, and RSSI value of WLAN is used to trigger the system switching. The simulation result shows the improvement of user throughput for the cognitive radio system.
