A proposal of a high-speed file transferring method in a P2P network
Bai Jing, Masahiko Matsushita (Maebashi IT) IN2006-236
Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) Today, in a P2P network, an exchange of a big size file between peers becomes important. However each peer usually limits a file transfer speed, for a system margin, therefore, file exchange time between single peers becomes slow. Further more, file exchange has been carried out one by one methods, exchange speed has been limited more. In order to improve these problems, this paper proposes a method of utilization of cooperation peers to transfer a big file. To put it concretely, a big file is divided into small parts depending on the file size and average transfer speed. Then, cooperation peers are requested to work together to download a big file. In this paper the system configuration is shown. The system simulation indicates the expected good performance.
