Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) This paper analyzes the effects of material which has negative permittivity and negative permeability simultaneously (Double Negative or DNG) on characteristics of dipole antenna by FDTD method, and clarify the effects of DNG material on dipole antenna characteristics. By the simulation results, it was confirmed that the DNG material created an image of dipole antenna at the specific location inside of itself when the DNG material had medium constant of εr=-1 and μr=-1. Moreover, it is shown that relative permittivity and relative permeability of a DNG material affects on the impedance characteristics of a dipole antenna, thereby resonance frequency and directive gain changed greatly.
