MPLS path technology is a promising approach to realize reliable IP networks. Several link bandwidth constraint models have been proposed aiming to provide the differentiated services (Diffserv) on the MPLS networks. However, only a guideline is given for deciding appropriate parameter values in those link bandwidth constraint models. In this paper, a dynamic control scheme of link bandwidth constraints is proposed. This scheme can dynamically obtain the optimum parameter values and minimize the revenue loss rate caused by the loss of path establishment. Simulation results show that this scheme can attain the least revenue loss rate even when the traffic volume applied to the network varies. |
