A Study on Array Antenna for Wireless Inter-chip Clock Transmission Using UWB Impulse Radio

(in English) The wireless inter-connect for clock distribution using on-chip antenna has been studied to improve
clock performance. In this paper, the authors apply UWB Impulse Radio(UWB-IR) for wireless clock distribution, as UWB-IR has good characteristic. However, it has a problem to receive high precise clock signal of conventional antenna. Because UWB-IR has very broad band in frequency spectrum. The authors make a propose using an antenna array at receiver for high precise clock. The authors change each length of antenna element of array to calibrate clock signal waveform from transmitter and the authors will show this method is useful via simulation results.
