This paper describes a framework through which we can generate content-based metadata of video scenes efficiently. The most important purpose of the framework is to provide a common platform whereby researchers can test their technologies for generating content-based metadata by exchanging and combining their various technologies. The framework has a scheme for giving benefits to not only academic field but also industrial field. At the beginning, an overview of the framework is described, then metadata editor based on the framework is explained, finally some concerns for extension toward network-based system are discussed. |
