Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) In this paper, we study a target frequency response for the design of headphones. The frequency response is the most important physical characteristic for the design of acoustic systems. For example, one of the best target frequency responses on loudspeakers satisfies the distortionless condition. However, a target frequency response on headphones has not been clarified yet. Many researchers have been consequently studying this problem. In this paper, we demonstrate the effectiveness of the target frequency responses proposed in the conventional researches through some subjective assessment experiments. We also clarify one of the best target frequency responses.
