Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) The presence of specialists cannot be always expected in every ER department. A specific computer-aided detection (CAD) system will be useful to unaccustomed physicians in assessing trauma. We have developed an automated detection technique of traumatic hematoma in the abdominal area and a method in measuring the total volume of traumatic hematoma. But it is difficulty to classification of muscle and hematoma, therefore muscle is mistakenly extracted by our method. In this research, we propose a method to reduce of muscle region using body cavity model. In this method, we generate body cavity model, and the model was deformed by thin-plate spline technique. Three trauma cases with abdominal injury were employed to estimate the initial result.
