We have reported high-quality and highly efficient optical pulse compression realized by Comb-like Profiled Fiber (CPF) which consists of highly nonlinear fiber (HNLF) and standard single mode fiber (SMF). Compact packaged module is necessary for CPF to use in a practical condition. We developed a compact CPF module with 1-bobbin structure by high-strength splicing and re-coating technique. Dimensions of 6-step CPF module were downsized to 90-80-13mm, and repetition rate of 10GHz and 2.5-width pulse train was successfully compressed to 500fs by fabricated compact CPF. |
