Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) In this paper, we propose a soft decision based cooperative sensing in cognitive radio (CR) based ad-network. A CR can sense a surrounding radio environment and adapt to the environment by reconfigurability. CR detects presence of primary user and exploits this information to opportunistically provide a communication among secondary users (CR). On the other hand performance of primary user should not be de deteriorated by the secondary users. Because of multi-path fading or shadowing, detection of primary users is sometimes significantly difficult. For this problem, cooperative sensing, where multi user cooperative each other to achieve higher performance of detection, has been investigated. In this paper we have proposed a soft decision based CS, and analyze the performance. Based on computer simulation, we have shown the comparison between CS and non-cooperative sensing (NCS) using Neyman-Pearson Theorem (NPT) and presented that CS has better performance. In addition, we have shown that performance of CS can be degraded when environment, i.e., signal to noise ratio, of a cooperative user is significantly worse.
