| (in English) | The combination of the Intermittent Periodic Transmit (IPT forwarding) with the Path reservation enables highly efficient packet relays in wireless multihop networks. The IPT forwarding is originally designed to cope with UDP traffic whereas today’s Internet is dominated by TCP traffic. In this paper, we evolved the IPT forwarding so as to be applicable to TCP traffic as well as UDP ones. Simulation results ensure that the improved IPT forwarding incorporating with the path reservation can achieve higher throughput and lower average packet delay compared with a conventional packet forwarding method. | |
