Mobile Localization Experiment Using An Unmanned Aerial Vehicle -- Experimental Overview and Preliminary Report --

(in English) An experiment on mobile localization with a unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) and array antenna was conducted in 2006. The UAV, which was developed as a prototype of high-altitude long-endurance platform, was used for the experiment. We conducted a fundamental experiment on mobile localization as a communication application for high altitude platform (HAP) systems, because detecting the positions of mobile terminals is considered to be an important key technology. In this paper, we present a summary and some results of the experiment with array antennas for the UAV.
