[Invited Talk] ITU-T Standardization Trend and its Future Issues -- Significance of International Standardization and its Strategy --
Yoichi Maeda (NTT-AT) CS2006-84
Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) International standardization on Next Generation Networks is actively studied in ITU-T to realize end-end QoS and multi-carriers/vendors interoperability, and to promote cost reduction of common interfaces. However, there are many issues to be solved for Japan to take the lead of standardization. This paper describes significance of the network standardization and recent trend of ITU-T, identifies the future study issues in the standardization, and proposes future standardization strategy for Japan.
