Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) Two sensor data collection schemes to DLNA/UPnP-ZigBee gateway node are available, iterative unicast and broadcast. Broadcast becomes more effective than iterative unicast in terms of power consumption as the numbers of sensors increases. This article proposes a new sensor data collection scheme by which the total power consumption in the network is minimized. The scheme dynamically switches the two schemes analyzing the optimum switching point. The advantage and effectiveness of the proposed scheme have been demonstrated through network simulation.
