A Study of Omni-directional Skew Antenna for Television Broadcasting

(in English) Abstract A skew antenna consists of four antenna arrays arranged in a circular with a radius and radiating tangentially. The skew antenna system produces a good omni-directional radiation pattern, but when located on a square tower the reflections from the face and the wedge diffractions modify the pattern. This paper describes the calculation of the horizontal radiation pattern when arranged with offset angle of a few degrees from tangential to outer direction in a circular. And the system has produced a better omni-directional pattern than a conventional skew antenna system.
