Interference Cancellation Technique based on Discovery of Spreading Codes of Interference Signals and Maximum Correlation Detection for DS/CDMA System

(in English) Multiple access interference (MAI) limits the performance of DS/CDMA systems. This paper presents a new interference canceller based on discovery of spreading codes of interference signals and maximum correlation detection for downlink channel.
The PN synchronization system which has the ability to discover unknown PN sequences used for interference signals is applied here. Then we provide all the patterns of interference signals taking each combination of data +1 and -1, and store them as an undesired-signal matrix U. Then, we take correlation between the received signal and each vector in U so as to find which combination vector takes the maximum value. The maximum correlation vector is considered as the interference signal and MAI cancellation is carried out by subtracting it from the received signal. The proposed system has shown remarkable quality enhancement even signal powers differ.
