Experimental Evaluation of Modulation Format and Multiplexing Scheme for 12.5-GHz-spaced Nx10.7Gb/s WDM Long-distance Transmission

(in English) Toward all optical network realization, a lot of researches about 1,000 channel WDM transmission technologies have been going on. To increase the bit rate to 10Gb/s for 1,000-channel WDM system and longer distance transmission, higher performance modulation format and multiplexing scheme is required. In this paper, we clarified the effectiveness of duobinary modulation format and polarization interleave multiplexing, in combination with newly developed ultra-narrowband square shapr filter, in multiplexing and demultiplexing experiment. This result indicates their effectiveness to 10Gb/s-per-channel long distance 1,000-channel WDM system
