A Study of Wireless Sensors Data Collection Scheme using Clustering Algorithm

(in English) Recently, there has been an active research in data collection method using a super tiny wireless sensor such as smart dust. The mobility of sink is being employed to provide an energy efficient data dissemination scheme in wireless sensor networks. One of the main challenges faced when deploying mobile sinks is to determine how they will move in the network. In this paper, we proposed a cluster approach to address this challenge. The sensors are clustered using a clustering algorithm, then we let the sink to move between cluster centers, each time collecting data from the sensors in the visited cluster. Simulation results illustrated that our approach obatined smaller storage and delay compared to those obtained by assuming random walk for sink mobility which we will refer to as conventional method.
