(in English) Photonic crystals (PhCs) are an artificial optical material, with a refractive index modulated on the micron scale. Autocloning is a unique PhC fabrication technique, and realizes high productivity and repeatability. Further it is possible to fabricate arbitrarily patterned, optical elements which modify the optical polarization in a desired manner. In this paper, applications to optical multilayer recording, imaging, and display are discussed.
