Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) The change and fixing of physical properties of organoboron materials, which shows the photolysis through two-photo absorption (TPA) process, were investigated for 3D optical memory application. The polymer, which shows shorter absorption wavelength than the half of excitation wavelength, was observed to have higher TPA photolysis efficiency compared to the one shows longer absorption wavelength. The numerical calculation for a model organoboron monomer also supported this possibility. Through the near-infrared laser irradiation having ~40 mJ/cm2/pulse, the contrast change of the polymer film surface was immediately induced and was almost finished after 3-minute-irradiation. This change was still observed even after 2 weeks. These promise that the organoboron materials are suitable for 3D optical memories.
