| (in English) | We upgrade and demonstrate a packet-selective reconfigurable optical add/drop multiplexer (ROADM) on 16 wavelengths x 40 Gbit/s non-return-to-zero (NRZ) data packet transmission over 100 km. A label-selectivity-enhanced optical en/decoder, which allows the optical label recognition with 40 Gbit/s NRZ data packets, and a wide passband acousto-optic wavelength-tunable filter (AOTF) for 40 Gbit/s signals, are newly adopted. Error-free (error rate of under 10-12) transmission and operation for all 16-wavelength channels at three nodes are obtained over 100-km at 40 Gbit/s. | |
