Direction of arrival (DOA) estimation and sound source segregation
methods with a few microphones are expected for many applications such as
a humanoid auditory system and a front-end of speech recognition system.
Frequency domain binaural model (FDBM) has been proposed as a computer
model of human auditory system, and it can estimate DOA of sound
source and segregate signal coming from a particular direction.
In this paper, estimation of azimuth and elevation method for sound
sources based on FDBM is proposed.
The basic performance of the proposed DOA estimation method is examined
under two concurrent speakers condition by computer simulation. |
