Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) In recent years, carbon devices have won worldwide attention. Carbon inverse opals fabricated by a template method using synthetic opals have attracted much attention as the nano-carbon materials with three-dimensional periodicity. We fabricated carbon inverse opals with nano-scale three-dimensional periodicity, and measured it’s field emission properties. As the periodicity is decreased the emission properties improved. The emission characteristics drastically improved upon heat treatment at high temperature.
