Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) Extensible Markup Language (XML) has become an important format for data exchange and representation on the web. In addition to conventional query processing, more complex analysis on XML data is considered to become important in order to discover valuable information. In this research, we attempt to investigate a model for XML data analysis in that features of XML data, such as grouping according to tree structure of XML, are taken into account. Finally, we discuss an implementation of the system for XML data analysis using relational database systems.
