In this paper, induced currents in human body models exposed to intermediate frequency magnetic fields produced by a household induction heater are numerically calculated. Four models of whole human body (a adult male, a adult female, a child male and a child female) are assumed to investigate effects of model height and sex on the induced currents. As results, the induced currents in several tissues for the male and female models are almost the same. It is found that the induced current in the central nervous system tissues for the child models are 2.4 to 7 times larger than those for the adult models because the heads of the child models are in stronger magnetic fields. |
