Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) ince the size of mobile terminal is getting reduced recently, the human hand holding the terminal tends to block the radiation of the antenna.
Therefore, it is required to improve the modeling of human hands in the vicinity of various small UWB antennas accordingly.
In this report, the modeling accuracy of human hands is examined in terms of simulations and experimental results in UWB transmissions.
The simulations are performed in FDTD focusing three factors: 1)the dielectric constant of human hands, 2)the modeling accuracy of human hands , 3)the finger position of human hands.
It has been observed that the position of human hand has greater influence on the transmission characteristics.
