A Numerical Study on Transition of Unstable Intrinsic Localized Mode in Coupled Cantilever Arrays with Fixed Boundary Condition
Masayuki Kimura, Takashi Hikihara (Kyoto Univ.)
Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) Recently, intrinsic localized modes (ILMs) in coupled micro cantilever arrays have been observed experimentally.
In this report, the transition of unstable ILMs, which coexists in coupled cantilever array with fixed boundary condition, are numerically disscussed.
We describe the difference of stability of ILMs for two different values of parameter corresponding to nonlinear elastic constant between cantilevers.
