Neural network model for stereo transparency with hybrid disparity energy models

(in English) The disparity energy model can explain many physiological properties of binocular cells in the early visual cortex. Although there are many physiologically-plausible models for disparity discrimination with the disparity energy model, most of them cannot handle with stereo transparency. Here, we examine the abilities of the hybrid disparity energy model to encode transparent surfaces, and compare them to psychophysical results.
