Dendrite information processing mechanism with NEURON simulator

(in English) In the hippocampal CA1 area, repetitive correlated spiking of pre- and postsynaptic neurons can induce LTP and LTD , depending on the timing of the pre- and postsynaptic excitation (Spike timing Dependent Plasticity). To investigate the information processing on the dendrite of a single neuron during the induction of STDP in the hippocampal CA1 area, model simulation was performed using NEURON simulator. As a result, the effects of a back-propagating action potential to distal dendrites by synaptic inputs on the proximal dendrite, enhance or depress, were clarified.
