To improve the hardware maintenance work efficiency, a maintenance support system that offers useful maintenance support information for the service engineers has been developed. In the maintenance case analysis, used to generate maintenance support information in this system, failures that occur easily and types of the parts that cause the failures easily are analyzed from past maintenance cases, and the best maintenance work procedures for the failures are presumed. This system was evaluated in actual maintenance service, with the result that the effects of this system was ascertained such as shortening maintenance working hours and reductions in the number of replaced parts. |
