In a near future, a heterogeneous mobile communication networks (HMCN) will become a common mobile communication network. Seamless mobility is one of the most important issues in HMCN. This paper categorizes the types of HMCN, and shows the difficulties of seamless mobility in HMCN. Many seamless mobility methods are proposed, but there are still problems to perform seamless mobility. In order to solve the problems, we introduce a new seamless mobility support in HMCN, seamless mobility by MIRAI signaling. Moreover, we show that the proposed method enables to provide efficient seamless mobility for mobile users in the various HMCN environments. |
