Inter-domain Traffic Flow Modeling of P2P File Sharing Application

As a result of widespread of Peer-to-Peer (P2P) file sharing
applications, it is a serious problem that inter-domain traffic between
Internet Service Provider (ISP) networks increases. P2P applications
construct symmetrial overlay networks on physical networks, on which all
nodes communicate rach other without considering their physical network
locations. It becomes difficult to grasp its traffic behavior.
In this paper, we present a novel inter-domain traffic flow
model focusing on the presence of a passive peer. And we also evaluate
the validity of our model by simulation analysis. |
